About ...

JEAN-ÉRIC TURQUIN

Born in Reims, in the Champagne region, in 1950, his vocation as a painter manifested itself at the age of 15; he began working spontaneously, giving free rein to his imagination.

A few years later, he took Nature as his great master, painting en plein air and drawing profound lessons from it.

Originally from Picardy, he settled under the Provençal sun in 1976. He found a haven of peace and inspiration in the Comtat Venaissin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux.

THE CRITICS ARE TALKING ABOUT IT

Arts Actualités Magazine

A. Coudert

“Jean-Éric Turquin’s painting is a happy alliance between the material, almost raw, and the color, always vivid, without ever being aggressive.”

Arts Actualités Magazine

T. Znytka

“The colours sing with happiness, like pictorial music that accentuates the essential elements of its chromatic accords, to blend them into the scenery.”
